Carroll Hospital offers a Lymphedema Treatment Program to assist those who are suffering from the swelling and/or discomfort of this disorder, which can accompany cancer treatments.
Carroll Hospital’s Lymphedema Treatment Program provides specialized care to those suffering from swelling in one or both arms or legs as a result of a blockage that prevents drainage of lymph fluid. Open to both men and women with lymphedema, the program involves special massage treatments to reduce pain and swelling that are provided by a certified massage and lymphedema therapist.
The program includes an initial intake appointment followed by subsequent two-hour treatment sessions as needed. A physician referral and advance payment are required prior to your first visit. Appointments are available Monday through Friday by calling 410-871-6161.
